Sensory Systems are at the core of Industry 4.0. This minor equips engineers with knowledge and techniques to sense and perceive the analogue world in which most processes take place and interact. The ability to perceive the analogue domain is key to modern industries, and intelligent systems. The exposure gained through this minor will be widely used in many industries across multiple domains - given the exposure gained to advanced sensory systems, associated programming techniques and autonomous systems.

Availability
The Sensory systems in Industry 4.0 minor is available only to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (E3001) in Malaysia specialising in Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering or Robotics and mechatronics engineering (Automation stream).

The minor is not available to the Civil engineering, Electrical and computer systems engineering, Robotics and mechatronics engineering (Artificial intelligence stream), and Software engineering specialisations.
