Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:
1.
apply the main ideas of probability theory to business decision-making
2.
interpret business data using tables, charts and descriptive statistical techniques, applying standardisation where appropriate
3.
describe the concept of a sampling distribution, understand sample estimators and their properties
4.
interpret and evaluate relationships between variables for business decision-making using simple and multiple linear regression
5.
undertake inference on single and multiple populations examining differences between means, proportions and regression coefficients for business decision-making.
