Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:

examine the role of HRM in addressing global ‘grand challenges’ facing organisations and society

2.

critically evaluate the processes and outcomes of different models of HRM in developing strategies to address contemporary workforce issues

3.

examine sustainable approaches to HRM and analyse the contribution of the sustainable HRM approach to competitive advantage, employee wellbeing and social and environmental outcomes

4.

develop research and communication skills to critically apply discipline-based knowledge to identify solutions to contemporary HRM issues in the context of grand global challenges

5.

demonstrate knowledge or skills for crafting sustainable futures for people, organisations, communities, and/or the environment.
