Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:
1.

critically evaluate the social, environmental and economic impact of globalisation on societies

2.

analyse countries’ levels of development from both economic and human development perspectives, and the resultant impact on a nation’s political economy

3.

demonstrate an understanding of the interdependent relationship between national cultures and international business, including changes in national culture and identity

4.

explain current patterns of international trade - including government intervention in those patterns - by applying seminal and contemporary theories of international trade

5.

develop evidence-informed recommendations for a firm’s internationalisation process, based on a critical evaluation of target market, strategy and entry mode choices

6.

demonstrate knowledge or skills for crafting sustainable futures for people, organisations, communities, and/or the environment.
