Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:
1.

Use industry-standard engineering software tools for design (CAD) and simulation (stress analysis, dynamics, fluid dynamics, optimisation) of complex engineering problems.

2.

Design a product, process, service or resource that responds to an opportunity, meets a need, or solves a problem.

3.

Reflect on teamwork, project management, leadership, and conflict resolution in the context of the group projects and activities.

4.

Appraise societal, health, safety, legal and cultural aspects of an engineering project.

5.

Interpret design regulations and requirements.

6.

Demonstrate and communicate the outcome of design projects through written and oral forms.
