Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:
1.

Apply knowledge of current developments in relation to the legal responses to human trafficking and modern slavery, and their human rights implications in the ASEAN region and beyond.

2.

Evaluate and assess different perspectives from which to analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking, including those of criminal justice, gender, human rights, labour, and migration.

3.

 Conduct independent research on issues related to modern slavery and human trafficking based on knowledge of appropriate research principles and methods.

4.

Use technical and creative skills to generate and evaluate, at an abstract level, complex issues related to the problems of human trafficking and modern slavery.

5.

Communicate effectively in writing, on current issues of modern slavery and human trafficking the application of principles in ASEAN countries and internationally
