Overview

Introduction to survey methods including probability and non-probability sampling and online surveys. Statistical inference in finite population sampling will be introduced (design-based and model-based inference). Strategies in the analysis of survey data (modeling and other applications) will be discussed.

explain basic concepts and principles in planning and the conduct of sample surveys

use different statistical inference paradigms in analysing survey data

3.

develop models using survey data for application in business, industry, and the public sector

integrate survey methods into the process of statistical analysis as one possible data collection strategy.
