Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:
1.

Research a specialised area of engineering in collaboration with an expert in that field of knowledge.

2.

Justify the importance of the topic being studied to audiences from both closely-related and distant fields of knowledge.

3.

Plan a project and manage the implementation of that plan, responding to external circumstances as needed, while maintaining appropriate formal records of progress.

4.

Generate creative approaches to address unsolved issues and problems.

5.

Generate insights into engineering phenomena by interrogating data using appropriate methodologies, while justifying the choice of methodologies being used.

6.

Synthesise literature data with your primary results to make recommendations on future work.
