In this unit, you will explore issues of human rights and social justice in domestic politics. You will explore the connections and tensions between human rights and social justice, and the social movements they inspire; and you will investigate series of political, legal, and philosophical debates that have implications for domestic politics, such as: Do people have a right to affordable housing and healthcare? What, if anything, are the acceptable limits on free speech? Should the state recognise different rights for different groups?
