Handbook

The Medical Technology minor will allow you to study medical devices ranging through cardiac valves and pacemakers, hip replacements, stents and contact lenses, as well as topics in controlled drug delivery, biosensor devices, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. You will examine the interactions between engineered devices and biological systems, and learn to negotiate design, economic and regulatory constraints in developing new technologies and translating them into clinical practice.

Availability
The Medical technology minor is available only to students enrolled in the single degree E3001 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), except those completing the Biomedical engineering, Chemical engineering and Software engineering specialisations.
