This unit will provide you with a wide-ranging introduction to the core geopolitical challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, including great power competition; emerging and middle powers; competing regional and international organisations; democratic versus authoritarian states; liberal versus illiberal values; developmental and human security challenges; climate change; and migration and refugee flows. In this unit, you will learn through case-study materials, in-class group discussions and presentations from specialists in the area.
