Describe characteristics of gambling and gaming disorders and emerging behavioural addictions in specific populations or communities.

Recognise prevalence of gambling and levels of harm experienced.

Critique differences and similarities of behavioural addictions to substance use disorders

Explain how gambling and gaming disorders may be identified and identify suitable treatment and referral pathways.

Outline precipitating and maintaining factors and factors associated with relapse taking into consideration biological, psychological and social dimensions.

Evaluate public health and policy and prevention strategies to address current and emerging behavioural addictions.

7.

Discuss innovations and evidence for identification, treatment, and prevention of behavioural addictions.

Identify characteristics and risk factors associated with a range of behavioural addictions.

Analyse emerging behavioural addictions with reference to their aetiological characteristics and potential impact on public health.
