On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to:

Apply the practical and theoretical skills underlying major methods for conducting cognitive and perceptual psychological research
2.
Describe the sensory and perceptual processes specific to vision, audition, and speech perception
3.
Evaluate historical and current theory on basic cognitive processes, such as learning, memory, and attention
4.
Apply cognitive and perceptual psychological research to current problems
5.
Communicate current ideas about perception and cognition to different audiences.
