This unit is designed to provide practice in the key research skills that are necessary for banking and finance research. This unit will allow students to develop these skills in a collaborative and supportive environment through interactive activities and engagement. The concepts that students engage with are designed to provide them with the skills necessary for working in industry, collaborating in empirical research and/or continuing their education.

Workload requirements

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. The unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
